This particular item:
a hand painted nug jar with a henna / Bohemian theme. The glass is stained blue fading to green (Ombre). On top I painted 1 big weed leaf with a smaller one on each side and some henna style swirls and dots.. All the paint is an iridescent gold color. The jar is 3.5 inches tall with the gold lid and approximately 2.5 inches wide
It is a 6 oz size jar.
Description of my process:
This beautiful glassware is hand stained with permanent and non toxic dyes. I mix all of the colors in small batches and then apply it by hand in a uniform manner so that you will not see any brush strokes- the glass itself looks like it is colored! The designs are also hand painted by myself and then heat set to cure and preserve my original artwork. This glassware can be hand washed or left outdoors without worry of the paint being damaged. They can be used as jars (to put your favorite items inside in an airtight and smell proof manner), as vases (for flowers or anything else-they are waterproof) or lanterns (if u put tea lights or led lights inside them). They make excellent night lights, centerpieces for tables or exotic ambient lighting... Each one is unique and made with loving attention to detail to create a dazzling product.
My inspiration:
I have been a henna artist for the past 20 years so this is reflected in the style in which I paint. I embrace the traditional patterns as well the modern look. If u look at the different sections of my shop you will find that I also hand paint wood jewelry as well as unique hats!
